21st May 2009 - H. E. Patrick G. Binns, Ambassador of Canada to Ireland pays a courtesy visited to Irish American University

H. E. Patrick G. Binns was born in Weyburn, Saskatchewan, and holds degrees in Economic & Political Science and Community Development from the University of Alberta. Ambassador Binns has a long history of public service, most notably being the 30th Premier of Prince Edward Island, holding office from 1996 to 2007, during which time he was the leader of the Prince Edward Island Progressive Conservative Party. During his 11 years in this role he established the P.E.I. Cancer Treatment Centre, founded and led Team Atlantic Trade Missions abroad and promoted the bio-science industry.
